Lifeguard accessories
A typical list of what a beach lifeguard would probably be responsible to have follows:
- Towel – For more than drying off. It may be necessary as a rescue aid, a seat cushion or to reduce the embarrassment of anyone who may have lost a bathing suit to a particularly strong wave.
- Whistle
- Water Bottle(s)
- Rescue pack – usually a smallish pack stuffed with the essential first-response necessities.
- Rescue Tube or ‘can’
- Hat or Visor
- Sunglasses
- Sun block
- Insect Repellent
- Binoculars
- Miniature lifeguard boat replica – Okay, not really. But since you’re here anyway, why not take a look at a few. You’re not going to be on the beach 365 days. You’ll need something to remind yourself of the beach when you aren’t on it.
